Spa

From the heavens comes the gift of ua (rain), to nurture, cleanse, refresh and purify. Blessed with a keen sense of observation and spirituality, the Hawaiians of ancient times gave many names and personalities to various rainfalls. One such name was "Waihua," a description of water that is pure in every sense.

The large leaves of the taro plant caught and stored this special water until gathered by the kahuna (expert, healer, prophet) for use in potions, medicine, ceremony and protocol. Waihua is water that has not touched the dirt of the earth, nor the sins of mankind. It was a treasured resource that helped na kanaka maoli (Hawaiian people) to rejuvenate and invigorate their bodies and spirits, creating pono (balance) in one's life.

From a body scrub utilizing volcanic minerals indigenous to the Hawaiian islands to a signature Waihua healing treatment, the professionally trained therapists at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua utilize the latest techniques to pamper guests.

Meetings

Featuring the Hawaii's largest outdoor ballroom, The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua offers groups more than 150,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and prefunction space at the hotel, including the open-air Aloha Outdoor Ballroom.
