Just positive, great place
From all the friendly staff to the driving range to the golf course, everything is a very good experience! Thank you
Best friendly course in Cancun
Played November 1 and the conditions were excellent except for some excessive watering in spots. Why at this time of year ? Greens rolled perfectly Paspalum rough takes some experience dealing with. Course and especially restaurant staff are beyond accommodating. Hats off to Roman for getting us lunch ‘para llevar’ First class
Great Course!
We have played Moon many times. We found the staff at Riviera to be far friendlier, and the course was beautiful. Food and beverages were great. Will definitely return.
Javier and Me (3 hours 30 minutes)
I was paired on a Sunday morning with Javier. That asked if I wanted to play with someone..We tee’d off 20 minutes early. The starter got us out in front of 2 hackers..The fairways and greens (Paspalum) were dialed in. My only critique is the bunkers were unraked and poorly maintained.
I didn’t bring my clubs. The rentals were not the best. The bag had 2 wedges(PW and SW)
I would definitely go and play this course again. The gentleman I played with rated the 3rd best course in Cancun.
Amazing scenery
This course is beautiful and exactly what I love….water! Lots of water, so bring balls…lots of balls
Great golf in Cancun
A course with lots of water carved out of the mangrove. Fun but challenging!
Beware of This Course
Be careful ! This is probably the only course in the general Cancun area that shuts down at 4 p.m. (although website says 4:30 p.m.) They accepted a 1:30 tee time for 18 holes from my hotel's conciege desk...but failed to tell them about the early closing time. The front desk took my $170+ but forgot to tell me they closed at 4 p.m. The starter sent me off at 1:40 p.m., but didn't tell me I'd be kicked off the course at 3:45 p.m. When I got back to the club house and complained...starter referred me to the registration desk, the registration desk said sorry...told to the manager, the manager was "busy" and told the registrtion desk to tell me to complain to my hotel. Highway robbery folks....and a manager that could care less as long as he collected my greens fee.
Birthday Surprise
My wife book this place the day before we went for a birthday surprise. Free food and drink while you golf so bring tipping money. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Greens are very fast and challenging, narrow fare way. Had a great time, only one ocean view. Lots of wildlife on the course. Fare ways had brown spots.
Challenging and Beautiful Course
Amazing and friendly staff - excellent but challenging course. Pace of play was a little slow, but had a Sunday mid-morning tee time. Need accurate approach shots to score well. Would highly recommend. We’ll be back again!
The Good and Bad
The Good:
It is great that everything is all inclusive while on property. The greens rolled great with good speed. Layout is tough but very good.
The Bad:
There were no range balls when we showed up, once they did the balls were warped and probably 20 years old. The fairways were in bad shape and had burnt out and mud patches on every hole. Round was 5+ hours. The staff pulled the couple I was playing with off the 18th hole because the shuttle the course provided and scheduled was ready. Why couldn’t the shuttle wait 10 minutes for these people to finish their round?
I would have been very disappointed if I spent the full price to play this course especially after playing Mayakoba twice the week before (prices are similar)
Good but tough course
Be prepared for lots of water and wild life !
Beautiful but humbling
A wonderful track set on the shore near the airport in Cancun . Nicolas layout. In awesome shape. Much water to consider . 135 slope from the whites.
Avid golfer
Nice course. Better than rio tinto. Fairways good. Greens decent. Great scenery and wildlife. Fairly tight fairways and decent amount of water. Worth playing.
Holes closed and sandy greens
The 14, 15 & 16th holes are closed due to hotel construction. These are also the only holes with ocean view. The greens were very sandy.
