Gem of a course
Beautiful Niklaus designed course. Very tight driving course with water on 16 of 18 holes. Bring lots of balls if you don't hit it straight. Course conditions were top notch, except for several bunkers which were under repair (rocks, no sand, mud).
Rental clubs were Callaway and in decent condition.
Nice surprise was all food and drinks (including beer) was included in the price both on-course and in the clubhouse restaurant.
Too much water but a good time
We played this course two days in a row. My partner quit day 1 by the 11th hole, frustrated at his play while trying find a rhythm. Soooooo much water to hit over, very challenging course. We made it through day 2. Played a little better. Just sucked it up. Heck, we couldn’t make the water get out of our way, right? Challenging but beautiful course. Kept well. Caddies super attentive. Beverage cart team also. Greeted with juice and coffee and pastries. Lunch also provided. Decent selection. Will go back over and over again.
Great Course Excellent conditions

Needs some work
Second time playing at this golf course but this time was a little bit disappointing. All the greens were aerated and sanded. Nowhere did it say that on the reservation. I always find it interesting how they consider it to be a regular okay with this kind of conditions. I totally get it that golf courses need maintenance, Jeff should mention that. Really poor food and drinks choices for the money you pay. All these things can be considered after laying $1000 US for 4 plays, clubs and taxi.
Great Course!
Absolutely stunning course with wildlife roaming about (Coatis, snakes, crocs near the water). Payed 50 bucks for club rentals. Tee time includes beverages and food and some range balls. Pro shop is a bit pricey but all in all great course. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Cancun.
Had a great time… loved the all inclusive…
Course was fun… saw many kinds of animals … staff was friendly and course in good shape..
Great Cancun Golf
Very good Nicklaus course carved out of the seaside mangrove swamp with crocs, iguanas, and koatis running around. Greens in great shape, long par 4s, although there are wide fairways if you do not hit it straight it is in with the crocodiles.
Great Course with Lots of Water & Rough Hazards
If you're playing the Blue & White tee, 16 out of 18 holes require you to Tee-Off over wide span of water & rough hazards. The course layout is challenging and set in a mangrove/swamp environment with lots of wild birds & iguanas though we didn't see any alligators. The greens and fairways condition are good except for the sand bunkers that are clumps of gravel/ lacking sand.
As the GolfNow fee includes food/ drinks and also free round trip hotel pick-up, it does not provide bottled water. They served water with ice cubes in a cup. WORD OF CAUTION: DON'T DRINK THEM unless you want to get diarrhea and ruin your game like my wife did after hole#9.
Overall, Riviera Cancun Golf course is a great course and we are going back the next day to play it again.
The best course of the 4 I played!
I have played 4 different courses in Cancun. This was by far the best of the 4. The price, the golf, the food were all fantastic! I give it an excellent rating on all measures.
Hard Rock venue now
Love playing this course because it’s always in great condition. Greens are typical Jack Nicklaus greens you’ve got to know how to read greens. Front nine is easier than the back nine: 10 and 18 are probably the easiest holes. The cart guy made the best Bloody Mary’s ever only thing missing was the olives celery and bacon. Did I say it’s all inclusive? Try the Ceviche in the restaurant it’s the bomb. It’s now a Hard Rock Golf course. Thank You Golfnow.
Course was not the easiest to play. It was tight of the tee s. Hitting a straight drive really helps. Enjoyed the course just wish I had played better.
Just positive, great place
From all the friendly staff to the driving range to the golf course, everything is a very good experience! Thank you
Best friendly course in Cancun
Played November 1 and the conditions were excellent except for some excessive watering in spots. Why at this time of year ? Greens rolled perfectly Paspalum rough takes some experience dealing with. Course and especially restaurant staff are beyond accommodating. Hats off to Roman for getting us lunch ‘para llevar’ First class
