Awesome staff, very friendly. Challenging course

Brock park has the friendliest staff I have had the pleasure of meeting. They really are there to serve you. The course itself is challenging, small green so you have to be accurate, and moderately maintained. The course is under reconstruction so several holes are a little torn up here and there. Overall great value for the money.

Great municipal course! A hidden gem for the price!

I got a great deal on this course. The greens were a little slow but in better shape than Gus Wortham's greens. There were 2 holes that had a couple bad patches but were overall fairly nice. The drive down Tidwell can be a bit intimidating/interesting but don't pay attention to that, it has no bearing on this course itself. Once you arrive it's a completely different world. This is a municpal course so there are no bells and whistles but hey for $20 it's a darn good deal. The staff is super friendly, and as it turns out the starter volunteers his time at this course. I enjoyed playing this course so much I am also going to volunteer my time.

Sporty Course

The man behind the front desk was very personable. The course is well maintained. It is a fairly easy course if you can keep it in the fairway. Lots of big trees.

The course has some tricky holes if you don't land on the green

The course was dried out a bit, but then what course in Houston isn't? The staff was extra friendly and since they had no concession open directed me to the nearest store for beer and then provided the ice for me.

good value for the money

The facilities are run down, it isn't a country club but it is a decent muni course and is in a lot better shape than many in the area. A couple of the greens were in bad shape but for the most part putts ran true. The fairways were hard with lots of roll. I didn't find many bare spots. I will play again.

You get what you pay for.

My biggest beef with this course is that the yardage markers were few and far between. Other than that, it has a large creek running through several holes that are placed very well. It makes a relatively short course play like a longer one because I found myself laying up frequently. I'd go back but it is definitely an average Muni.

Not Bad...

This was a nice lay out for any course I have played in the area, I just wish the greens were in better condition and the driving range was longer, but other than that, for the money, this is a very good course to play. I will be back soon!

Big Bang for the $$$

Gave 4 stars even though COH muni course. Has challenges for your game if you play the blue tees (6427 yrds, 114 slope). Stay out of the trees, no joke. Greens could be in better shape but I've seen a lot worse. If you want to practice your game with a variety of shots, can get around pretty quickly during the week. Weekends tend to fill up, but they all do. Big bang for the $$$.
