One of my least favorites
No senior rates. No marshalls - slow play. No holes with any character. Bermuda grass = tough to find balls just off the fairway and dormant in the cold weather. Many better courses for less $$. Too much fescue equals too easy to lose balls. No clubhouse bar or restaurant (just a snack shop). No pro shop; check in a snack shop so must wait behind food and drink orders.
Great conditions
All aspects were clearly well cared for and manicured. From tee box to green including rough, fairway, and bunkers. Greta course to play as single this time. Slow pace allowed me to play two balls so basically 2 rounds for price of one.
Course in good shape- enjoyable round
The course was in very good condition from tees to greens although the bunkers were hard packed with too little sand. The greens were relatively slow and it took a few holes to acclimate to the speed. The pace of play was good with 18 holes in about 4 hours with few delays. The staff was friendly and the carts are nearly new with quiet electric motors. I squally play this course once or twice a year,
Always a Pleasure!
The course is a lot of fun. Some challenging holes but not too tricked up. Always in nice condition and the staff is outstanding. From the Pro Shop to the Starter, to the Ranger and even the cart guys...everyone is so nice. They go out of their way to make sure you enjoy the round. Never had a bad experience! GO PLAY!!!
Greens & Fairways in great shape. Good value.
In the midst of a heat wave but the fairways and greens were in surprisingly good shape. Better, in fact, than how I found them when I first played the course just a couple of months ago. 3:50 start seemed just right and my group of 3 sped through our round with no waiting and no push from behind. Well worth the money spent.
Pretty good course for good price!
Some acquaintances have said this course wasn’t good. I booked a solo slot when I couldn’t find a time at one of my more usual courses. I was pleasantly surprised. Course was in fine condition -not great but nothing at all to really complain about. Pace of play was okay. Course is on the shorter side but it is tight and there are some interesting layouts that make the shorter holes plenty challenging. Price is very competitive for the area.
Fairway Hills—Mixed Experience
Experience was mixed bag; first 9 my twosome got stuck behind a slow-moving foursome that led to the hole immediately ahead (and sometimes a second hole) to be open ahead of them. They never considered waving us through. Ranger finally showed up on 6th tee about delay, he said they would likely leave after 9 which turned out to be the case. First 9 took 2:20, second 9 took 1:45 with nobody ahead of us. Course needs a concession stand, or at least someone in cart with beverages and snacks. However, course is generally a good challenge, in quite good shape, and as long as carry over marshes and creeks on 6 holes is not a problem for the golfer, it plays pretty fair.
