Bighorn Golf & Country Club
About
Carved out of the sunny benchlands at the base of Mounts Peter and Paul, Bighorn Golf & Country Club (formerly known as Sun Rivers Golf Resort) is one of the few “true” desert courses in Canada. Designed by celebrated golf course architect Graham Cooke and Wayne Carleton, Bighorn is the essence of exceptional golf; offering dramatic elevation changes, sagebrush, natural sand dunes, classic bunkering, wide bentgrass fairways, gently contoured greens and majestic vista

Bighorn
Great day on the course. Pace was excellent, fast greens and hitting your target on some holes a must. Carts have gps with scorecard, hole layout, fly over and 2 usb's to plug in devices. Driving net, putting and chipping greens to warm up.
Awful course conditions
Big rocks in sand traps, some traps had barely any and. Terrible fairways for this time of year, other local courses in better shape.
Hillside course not overly long but quite tight in places. First timers will find it tough, particularly the greens which are fast and very undulating. 129 slope off member tees reflects the difficulty. Not a walking course unless you are young and fit
Bighorn
This course is appropriately named as we saw bighorn sheep on at least three different holes. The course is in great shape and the pace of play was very good.
Bighorn gets Big Ratings!!
Bighorn gets Big Ratings!! What a golf course. We played this course twice in 3 days as it was very impressive. Where do I start. First off we drive twice from Vernon to play this course. 1.5 drive each way. that is how impressed we were. The course is immaculate. For being a desert course, gosh it was very green!! Greens are slick. Stipend at 12-15 which is very fast. But the best part of this course is the members!! Both rounds we played with members that were very friendly and inviting. Thank to Chad on the first round for his gracious hospitality, help guide us around the course. In addition, Linda & Alan on our second round that really made our anniversary day special. We play a lot of courses around the world, and this is by far the most friendliest course. The staff were great as well. Make the drive to come play this course. Very challenging, and it will reward you if you play it right. But it will bite you if you if fail to respect it. I have to say it humbled me both days but manage to get some birdies and par's Thank you Bighorn for a memorable golf experience. We will be back!!
Challenging but not too hard
Great experience on this course. Need craft beer in the snack shack though.
Scenic golfing gem in Kamloops
We golfed at Bighorn Golf Course for the first time and we were impressed by the challenging layout and good conditions of the course; the amazing scenery and the friendly staff. We’ll be back and hopefully see some Bighorn sheep!
Bighorn 2
It was a gorgeous day and the course was in great shape. Challenging track but also accommodating to a higher handicap player.
Had to wait At the tee for the first few holes due to a group of 4 new golfers. After the first 9 it was nice no waiting for anyone.
Bighorn
It was a challenging links course with great views and we even played through a herd of bighorn sheep!
