Resort Overview
Oglebay is a unique 1650 acre resort of exceptional beauty and abundant recreational activities nestled in the hills surrounding Wheeling, West Virginia. Wilson Lodge at Oglebay has overnight accommodations with fine dining, indoor pool, fitness room and massage therapy. For families and larger groups, 49 cottages are available at Oglebay.
Oglebay also features two championship golf courses, one designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, and the newest course, designed by Arnold Palmer. Bissonnette Gardens at Oglebay features seasonal floral displays from April through October and the Winter Festival of Lights at Oglebay is America's largest light show with a million lights in November and December. There are also seven specialty shops scattered throughout Oglebay, all featuring unique gifts, wearables and collectibles.

Oglebay is truly a golfer's paradise offering 36 holes of championship golf. The new modern links course designed by Arnold Palmer opened in 2000 to rave reviews and our classic Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed course continues to be one of the West Virginia's premier layouts.
Golfers at Oglebay can now spend the entire day enjoying golf on two different championship courses. During the lazy summer days when long hours of daylight allow for a second, or even a third round of golf, Oglebay's 36 holes will provide enough challenges and spectacular scenery to please the most discriminating golfer.
A practice range at the Palmer and Jones courses features grass tees, matted tees, and a chipping green surrounded by two sand bunkers.
Before and after your game, stop in the clubhouse featuring a grill room, modern locker facilities,on-staff pro and a fully-stocked pro shop.

Palmer Course at Oglebay Resort

The newest course at Oglebay is a par 71 championship layout with six par-three holes, seven par-four holes and five par-five holes. It ranges in distance from 6,800 yards from the championship tees up to 4,200 yards from the forward tees and is designed to accommodate golfers on all skill levels. This new layout takes advantage of the existing terrain and with the addition of strategically placed bunkers, attractive mounding and generous greens, the course’s unique character was completed.

Challenge your game on this spectacular course designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, Sr. The multiple tee placements allow the course to play from 7,000 yards (championship tees) to 5,515 yards (forward tees). Home to the West Virginia LPGA Classic for 11 years, this course is sure to provoke conversation as well as settle some bets!

Ihlenfeld Dining Room
The award-winning Ihlenfeld Dining Room in Wilson Lodge serves tasty American favorites. The menu has something for everyone, from buffets to gourmet entrees to children's fare. The dining room overlooks Schenk Lake and offers a commanding view of the surrounding countryside. Summer diners can enjoy Cascading Waters, Schenk Lake's 150 ft. fountain and diners in November and December will see the Festival of Lights transform the hillside into a magnificent display each evening.
Every Friday night live jazz entertainment is featured with a prime rib and crab legs buffet. Private dining rooms are also available.

The GlassWorks Grill at Wilson Lodge was completely renovated in 2002 and now offers a great new menu and a bright new atmosphere that the whole family will enjoy.

Overlooking the 18th green of the Robert Trent Jones, Sr. course, the Grill at the Clubhouse serves sandwiches, appetizers and legal beverages.
