Dining

For centuries "The Lowcountry" has been noted for its cultural, artistic and culinary contributions. In years past, great soirees were held at now historic houses and plantations. At the turn of the century, Charlestonians would setup summer homes on the barrier islands to reap the benefits of the ocean breezes while escaping the claustrophobic heat of the city. Here they would enjoy the harvests of the ocean, creeks and tributaries serving the freshest of fare. As time passes, it is fortunate we can still enjoy the best of such regional fare in Charleston's restaurants.

Whether you choose to stay within the gates of Wild Dunes or choose a nearby dining establishment, Charleston offers a variety of excellent culinary experiences.

The Sea Island Grill

Wild Dunes' newest dining experience is one not to be missed. Chef Enzo promises the Freshest in Lowcountry Seafood available! Sample offerings are She Crab Soup with Crab Fritter, Fresh Poached Mussels, a Raw Bar Platter, Fresh Shucked Oysters or Clams, Boardwalk Flounder, or your favorite preparation of Black Grouper, Atlantic Salmon, Yellowfin Tuna, and more. For the land-lubbers, Black Angus Filet of Beef and a 22 oz Porterhouse Steak make the list.

Edgar's Restaurant and Bar

Edgar's Restaurant and Bar has become a well-known local favorite. Chef Kevin Bruntz has taken time honored ingredients and recipes to a new level of Lowcountry dining. Enjoy Edgar's Restaurant & Bar for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in a relaxed, casual atmosphere.

Duney's at the Grand Pavilion

Our old-fashioned boardwalk takes you back in time with its turn-of-the-century architecture. Located oceanfront and open daily in the summer months, Duney's offers hot or cold Island-style sandwiches, snacks, drinks and seaside cocktails. Please ask about family activities and nighttime entertainment.

The Dunes Deli

The Dunes Deli offers a light breakfast for those on the move - a hot cup of Starbucks coffee or a fresh Krispy Kreme donut. Try our special sandwiches and fresh salads. In addition to our hot and cold sandwiches, we feature Pizzeria Uno pizza! Pile on all your favorite toppings, or try one of the house specials.

Meetings

Wild Dunes Resort offers meeting and banquet facilities for groups and conferences in an unspoiled, natural atmosphere. The Resort offers more than 16,000 square feet of versatile meeting space, including 15 separate meeting rooms with the largest single room occupancy holding up to 450 people.
