Resort Overview
Relax and enjoy the ultimate vacation at Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort. Our Resort is perfectly located in the beautiful Litchfield Beach/Pawleys Island section of the Grand Strand. This location affords our guest easy access to all the sights and sounds of Myrtle Beach, yet still offers that secluded, "away from it all" feeling a vacation should have. Golf Overview
The ultimate Myrtle Beach Golf Vacation begins with a call to Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort, the area's only oceanfront resort with three on-site signature golf courses, and privileges at over 80 others. Our three courses, Litchfield Country Club, River Club and Willbrook Plantation-are three of the area's premier plantation courses. Each is uniquely different, all built on former plantations where giant moss-draped oaks, lakes and rice fields provide a spectacular backdrop. Collectively they offer a fantastic golfing experience.
Golf Courses
Litchfield Country Club
Architect: Willard ByrdDescription:
Litchfield Country Club was among the initial eight courses built on the Grand Strand. And it was the first course in the Pawleys Island/Litchfield area.
While it's popular for courses today to tweak their design, Litchfield Country Club hasn't taken that path. Open for play in 1966, the course has maintained its original features, including player friendly greenside pathways for bump and run approach shots.
Ranked one of the "world's 50 best" by Conde Nast Traveler, the gracious charms of this exclusive country club "signature course" are enjoyed by a limited number of visiting golfers. The mature tree-lined fairways wind amid giant oaks and shimmering lakes of a former Carolina rice plantation, creating an extraordinarily challenging "country club" experience. This traditionally styled layout is the flagship of the historic plantation courses. You'll find Litchfield Country Club to be a preferred destination because of its country club atmosphere.

Willbrook Plantation Golf Club
Architect: Dan MaplesDescription:
Carved from the site of two Carolina plantations, Willbrook Plantation Golf Club is a course that noted architect Dan Maples has often called "One of my best!" Located on the south end of the Grand Strand, Willbrook winds its way amid a centuries-old oak forest where nature abounds. It was recently featured on the award-winning television show "Nature Scene" for its peaceful coexistence of golfers and nature.
The par-5 15th hole, demonstrates the many challenges of the wetlands, waterways and stately oaks used in this great design. Willbrook is known for not only the tactical play ability required, but also for the natural surroundings you'll experience. This makes it a favorite of returning women golfers.

River Club
Architect: Tom JacksonDescription:
The semi-private River Club has proven to be one of the most challenging course in the Myrtle Beach area. This Tom Jackson signature course is one of the premier "plantation" courses and a favorite among returning golfers.
True to its name, River Club features water on 15 of 18 holes, and over 100 sand traps and bunkers. Long hitters have some room off the tee, but approach shots need to be true. The dramatic par-5, 18th is unquestionably one of the finest finishing holes on the Grand Strand, offering risk and reward to those who can carry the water twice for a possible chance at eagle.
