Hidden Valley Resort in southwestern Pennsylvania's Laurel Highlands makes the most of its property, serving as a ski lodge during the winter months and a golf resort in the summer. The Four Seasons Lodges offer affordable overnight lodging with smoke-free rooms of all sizes. For the guest's relaxation and privacy, the lodges don't have telephones. Hidden Valley also has vacation home rentals that range from private residences to condominiums to townhouses with shuttle service to the Four Seasons Lodge and ski slopes. For meetings, Hidden Valley provides a peaceful environment, surrounded by impressive views of the 2,000-acre mountain setting. The resort also specializes in weddings and special events. Hidden Valley guests can dine in full view of the slopes at Clock Tower Restaurant. Other resort dining options include the Falling Leaf Restaurant and the Black Diamond Pub and Grill. Hidden Valley Golf Club is a public course with many of the amenities of a private club, sitting atop a 3,000-foot summit in the Laurel Highlands. Russel Roberts was the course architect for the par-72, 6,589-yard 18-hole layout. Other area attractions include numerous outdoor recreation areas such as water parks, state parks and sporting clays shooting facilities. There's also several art and history museums as well as the Flight 93 Memorial, which honors the men and women aboard Flight 93 who gave their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, thwarting a planned attack on the nation's capitol.
