Pine Needles Resort

Designed in 1927, Pine Needles offers the opportunity to play golf the way it was meant to be played. The traditional Donald Ross course meanders through the rolling hills and longleaf pines of the Sandhills area. This peaceful setting still challenges golfers of all skill levels. Both Pine Needles and Mid Pines, our sister property, permit and encourage walking year round.

Golfers are challenged and fascinated by the give-and-take of this course. There's power demanded on the long, par- three 13th. There's placement off the tee on the shorter par-fours like three and four. There's thinking required all around, like how to stay below the hole on the difficult 14th green, like whether to gamble or play safe on the par-5 fifth. There aren't many 6,500-yard courses that test the all-around compliment of golf skills quite like this.
