Resort Overview

A charming Bavarian motif sets the tone, warm and friendly, much like a small Alpine village. Stunning vistas sweep over the wooded 5,000-acre resort. We are currently in the midst of a $150 million enhancement. The Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa a 4 star hotel of 200 plus suites and a new pedestrian village carefully fashioned after the World's best resort and European villages will anchor the new developments.

A new Championship Golf course designed by Renowned architect Pete Dye will round out the enhancements and should position Boyne Mountain as the Premier 4 Season Resort in the Midwest.

Golf Overview

You're in the midst of world-class golf when you stay at Boyne Mountain. Two award-winning championship courses, the Alpine and the Monument, wind their way through rolling forests, open meadows and provide pause-worthy views of Deer Lake. Boyne Highlands, Crooked Tree Golf Club, and Bay Harbor Golf Club are all Boyne Courses that lie within 30 miles and combine for a total of 162 holes of golf that can be packaged with a stay at Boyne Mountain.

Golf Courses

The Alpine Golf Course

Architect:  Bill Newcomb
Description:
The Alpine starts at Boyne Mountain's summit, dropping down in swoops to Deer Lake. Spectacular views are everywhere. Fairways are wide and inviting. Blind shots are nonexistent. For all of its innocence, strategic bunkers and water hazards can take their toll. Like all Boyne courses, optional tees on holes make it enjoyable whatever one's ability. Woods and spaces separate players. You'll probably encounter more furry and feathered friends than golfers.

The Monument Golf Course

Architect:  Bill Newcomb
Description:
A scenic mile-long golf cart ride takes you the summit of this 7,086-yard jewel at Boyne Mountain. Four sets of tees drop in giant steps to the pond protected first hole that Sam Snead calls one of the most intimidating anywhere. The Monument was a Golf-Digest's runner-up for Best New Resort Course of 1987. Snead, Kathy Whitwort, Gene Sarazen, Byron Nelson and other legends have played the course, admired it and picked holes to be named for them.
