Resort Overview

Once one of Gaylord's original alpine ski resorts called "Snow Valley," Beaver Creek is now void of the ski lifts and rope tows of its previous identity. In 1985, owner and President, Larry C. Bowden, moved into the only two existing buildings on the property and created Beaver Creek Resort.

Over the course of the next seven years, he built a clubhouse with an indoor pool, Jacuzzi and sauna, a waterslide and miniature golf course, an office building, seven log cabins and an RV park. "Growth" became Larry's middle name as he proceeded to build several more cabins and "The Natural", an 18-hole golfing dream, just a decade from the day he first set foot on the property.

Golf Overview

Golf The Natural, an 18-hole golfing dream and one of Michigan's most challenging golf courses. Course creator, Jerry Mathews, used the natural beauty of the area to build a breath-taking golf adventure. The wildlife seems impressed with Mathew's work also, as several species are often seen trotting across the fairway to take advantage of The Natural's Harmonious co-existence with the area wetlands.
