Bay Valley is Mid-Michigan's finest full service resort with 148 spacious rooms and suites, fine dining at Heatherfields, and a magnificent 18 hole championship Golf Course designed by two masters of the game: Jack Nicklaus and Desmond Muirhead. The resort hotel provides a superb setting for banquets, conferences of up to 400 people, and rates are surprisingly modest for a hotel of this quality. Opened in 1973, the resort is a Jack Nicklaus/Desmond Muirhead design that's dominated by very large, fast greens. While the course is well bunkered, it is rarely necessary to carry a bunker to reach a green, and shots hit short can bounce and run on. It's a design feature that is coming back into favor.

The challenge is provided by water that can come into play on 13 holes. Director of golf, Lou Dallas, runs a well stocked shop and can assist in planning group outings and tournaments for groups of any size.
