The General, Eagle Ridge's newest and most spectacular course, premiered in May 1997 and commands a position high atop The Galena Territory. In 1997, The General claimed the prestigious recognition of being ranked in Golf Digest's top ten "Best New Upscale Public Courses." While the strategic subtleties of The General capture the intellect of the golfer, it is without a doubt the majestic splendor of the course that will capture the golfer's imagination.

This course is characterized by elevated tees, long vistas through the countryside, plush, rolling fairways and large, undulated greens. The North Course is ranked #6 in Illinois by Golf Digest.

The South Course is cut through a heavily wooded valley. A stream comes into play on 11 of the 18 holes. Numerous oak and walnut trees help guide you, while natural rock outcroppings create dramatic views. The South Course winds through a beautiful wooded valley where streams and creeks come into play on 11 of the 18 holes.

The East Course is a 9-hole par 34 and an excellent test of accuracy, shot-making and putting touch. This course has numerous elevated tees, tight landing areas and large, undulated greens.

Linger over a meal of Midwest regional favorites in Woodlands Restaurant & Lounge, providing fine dining with spectacular lake views. Featuring the finest aged steaks, fresh seafood, daily specials and the confectionary creations of our own pastry chef. Sunday Brunch served year-round. You'll also want to relax in the adjoining lounge with refreshing cocktails and cordials.

Features unparalleled views of the rolling countryside and The General's opening hole. The lounge offers seasonal drink specialties and old favorites, as well as light appetizers, and live entertainment on weekends during the summer months.
