Shula's Hotel & Golf Club

Shula's Hotel & Golf Club is one of my Miami's few remaining independently owned resorts. The hotel's namesake is Don Shula, former head coach of the Miami Dolphins and longtime resident of Miami Lakes, who was an active supporter of the local community. Located just outside of the city in Miami Lakes, the hotel sits on a parcel of land that was formerly considered swampland and then transformed into one of the largest dairy farms in Florida before becoming the site of a luxury hotel. The Senator Course at Shula's is one of the top golf courses in Miami, offering a classic layout and a lush tropical landscape. There is also a driving range and a par-3 course for golfers to use. Adjacent to the hotel is the Spa at Shula's, which features an expansive fitness center with nine lighted tennis courts. Shula's Hotel is conveniently situated just minutes from both the Miami International Airport and the Fort Lauderdale Airport.
