Resort Overview
Discover your own private paradise of timeless beauty in an exclusive 1,500-acre resort, where waterfalls cascade along velvety canyon grottos into a spectacular pool. Where tropical blossoms fill the air with sweet fragrance. Where a horseback ride transports you to the beauty of nature. World-class golf and tennis, golden beaches, sailing on a secluded lake and nearby Orlando's theme parks and attractions await. Experience a destination like no other, where the cares of the world melt away in resort splendor. Golf Overview
Jack Nicklaus will forever be remembered as the greatest player of all time. And if the 45 Nicklaus-designed holes at Grand Cypress are any indication, the Golden Bear will also go down in history as one of golf's greatest course architects. The North, South, and East courses are nine-hole championship layouts offering a variety of challenges. The New Course is an 18-hole, links-style layout modeled after The Old Course at St. Andrews. Complete with deep Scottish-style bunkers and a replica of the stone bridge over St. Andrews' Swilcan Burn, this is as close to the real thing as it gets. If you're looking to improve your game (and who isn't), take a lesson at the Grand Cypress Golf Academy, and of the best schools in the country.
Golf Courses
New Course at Grand Cypress Resort
Architect: Jack NicklausDescription:
The New Course at Grand Cypress, which opened in 1988, adds another dimension of play with steeper and more challenging bunkers and slopes. Set in the midst of an open meadow, the New Course was inspired by the Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland. Visions of the St. Andrews course appear throughout the New Course at Grand Cypress, including pot bunkers as deep as 12 feet, seven large, double greens, a snaking burn (creek) on three holes, stone walls along the 15th and 17th holes (resembling the 17th hole at St. Andrews, known as the "Road Hole") and even a stone bridge. Very little water comes into play and few trees are located within the interior of the course, allowing ample room to drive the ball.

Hemingways
Bursting with Old Key West flavor, Hemingways captures the best of traditional Florida while providing a unique combination of quality, variety and ambience. Papa Hemingway, an avid fisherman and hunter who inspired a free-spirited legend, would approve.
The name Key West conjures up inviting images of warm sun and sand, tropical colors spattered everywhere by nature's paintbrush, Caribbean-flavored music and the leisurely pursuit of, leisure. Perched atop our rock grotto overlooking the palm fringed, lagoon-like pool, Hemingways is architecturally inviting, it recreates the ambience and flavor of Old Florida from the pre-dinner specialty drink, "The Papa Doble", to coffee and dessert. Even without a conch shell, you can hear the swoosh of ocean waves. Almost.

Cascade
Cascade elevates the main dining room to a new art form with such exciting design elements as a brass spiral staircase and a 35-foot bronze mermaid sculpture.
Stand quietly for a moment in the impressive multilevel terraced lobby and listen, the faint sound of a waterfall can be discerned. As you draw closer to this inviting sound there appears a beautiful 35-foot bronze mermaid sculpture, the focal point of a fountain occupying center stage of Cascade's two-story atrium-styled room. Descending a magnificent spiral staircase you will immediately recognize its intimacy created by the tropical plants and trees arranged amidst the rattan tables and chairs. Once you are comfortably seated, enjoy vistas that range from a peaceful lagoon replete with swans and wading birds, to Lake Windsong with its white sand beach and jungle-like gardens with winding footpaths.
