Site of the 1987 USGA Boy's Junior Amateur and current home of the prestigious Colorado Open, The Sonnenalp Golf Club has been recognized by Golf Digest magazine in their "Top 100 Resort Courses" and consistently ranks as one of the state's top three courses in Colorado Golf Magazine.

Dining

Enjoy one of our in-house restaurants or let us point you toward the best dining Vail has to offer. Whether you're in the mood for a casual, lively atmosphere with live music or a quiet, romantic dinner with wonderfully delicious fare, Vail's restaurant selection is sure to satisfy your every craving.

Ludwig's

Offering a distinctly European setting and international cuisine with a regional flair, our Executive Chef has created one of the Vail Valley's most exceptional dining experiences. Fare like Aummoniére of Smoked Salmon and Truffle Risotto with Jumbo Scallops may well be a highlight of your Sonnenalp stay. Desserts are created daily by the Sonnenalp's pastry chef, featuring both Bavarian and American specialties.

Bully Ranch

With a casual, western-style atmosphere and Southwestern and American menu, our Executive Chef's culinary talents make the Bully Ranch an ideal place to round-up friends for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch. Chicken wings, artichoke dip and avocado-mushroom burgers are family favorites. Mussels Marinere, Ginger Chicken Salad and Filet Mignon top off the dinner menu.

King's Club

Vail's best apres ski and apres dinner gathering spot is right here in the King's Club with live entertainment. Come see why Don Watson is Vail's favorite entertainer. Comfortable seating, a roaring fireplace, your favorite cocktail and plenty of entertainment make the King's Club the perfect spot to unwind after a day on the slopes, the links or the trails.

Swiss Chalet

Featuring traditional European cuisine by our Executive Chef in a classic Swiss-style setting, the Swiss Chalet offers the ultimate alpine dining experience. Käse Spätzle (homemade Swiss dumpling filled with cheese and topped with roasted onions) and delicious fondues make the Swiss Chalet a delectable dining experience. Save room for freshly made desserts like Austrian apple strudel and chocolate fondue.

Balata Restaurant

Balata has a special touch that makes it an Edwards favorite. The menu offers a creative spin on true American cuisine and the views set the stage for pure enjoyment every day of the week. Perfect for a casual dinner out, lunch after golf or an elegant private party on the expansive decks. How can you not have fun when you've got the best menu, best friends and best views in the valley? Balata. It's a ball.

Spa

For some, it is an indulgence. For others, a necessity. For everyone, the Sonnenalp Spa is an exquisite resource to rejuvenate mind and body. With pampering massage, yoga, skin treatments, manicures and pedicures, the spa offers world-class pleasures.

Massages and facials are only the beginning of the rejuvenating, invigorating treatments waiting for you at the Sonnenalp Spa. Aromatherapy, mud treatments, paraffin dips and heated stone massages will keep you feeling your physical and emotional best.
