Firecliff Course at Desert Willow
Architects: Michael Hurdzan &John Cook
Description:
Local PGA Tour Professional John Cook has co-designed two incredible courses in the heart of the desert. Award winning for design, each teebox and hole is surrounded by abundant desert wildlife and vegetation. This arid landscape will catch your eye as well as errant shots. The Firecliff Course is Desert Willows signature, requiring accuracy on every shot. Fairways provide landing areas as targets and set the stage for approach shots into the well-bunkered greens. The Mountain View Course utilizes the same design principles, but allows for a greater margin of error. Landing areas are generous and are set well below the surface of the desert creating a secluded feeling and providing containment mounds, effectively stopping many sliced shots.
