Willbrook Plantation Golf Club on Pawleys Island is an upscale golf course winding through historic plantation grounds and wildlife-filled marsh. It's a Myrtle Beach favorite among women, but golfers of both genders and all skill levels will enjoy this 1988 Dan Maples design.
Fairways are big greens usually have open fronts. The back tees play over water on many holes, but the front two are more forgiving. For women, the course plays 4,956 yards with a 118 slope rating.
The par-4 first, a sharp dogleg right playing over water, starts you off with the toughest shot on the course; you'll need a big drive to set yourself up for a straight shot at the green. The signature hole is the short par-3 sixth, which plays over water the whole way to an island green. Willbrook also has a strong collection of par 5s - No. 15 has been rated as one of the Strand's 100 best holes.
