Robert Trent Jones knows wild bunkering and the showman's on full display at Waterway Hills Golf Club. This 27-hole Myrtle Beach facility has three nine-hole golf courses that run through the woods and around lakes. It takes hopping on a gondola lift over the Intracoastal Waterway just to get to your first tee.

So much for that tired, typical golf course. Once you take that air lift, you're transported into a sprawling land of trees where Trent Jones tests your game on almost every approach to the green. The Oaks, Lakes and Ravine nines all have crowned greens and getting there is often only half the battle.

As for Trent Jones, he hasn't done a lot of Myrtle Beach golf. This is one of only two designs from the celebrity golf architect in this Carolina golf mecca.
