Tullymore Golf Club at the St. Ives resort in central Michigan has quickly emerged as one of the nation's best golf courses. It's Jim Engh's first Michigan design and is set on 800 acres of wooded wetlands - not exactly tournament friendly with no parallel holes, but a luxurious, natural setting.
It features thin, snake-like bunkering on many holes and some innovative green complexes. The par-3 12th has been nicknamed, "Dell on steroids", in reference to Lahinch's famous par-3 in Ireland that plays to a green hidden behind a dune. This is much of the same here, only the green is much bigger and the hole plays 257 yards from the back tees.
Tullymore is also a steal at just $87-107 this summer - one of the Top 100's cheapest courses.
