True North Golf Club in Harbor Springs is a Jim Engh gem in northern Michigan
HARBOR SPRINGS, Mich. -- True North Golf Club is one of the newest courses to come to northern Michigan's rich golf scene. It originally opened in 2004 as a private club, but has recently opened its doors into a more semi-private model. The golf course was designed by Jim Engh, who built the highly acclaimed Tullymore Golf Club a few years prior. True North features similar Engh shaping around the greens and bunkers, but the terrain here is more quintessential northern Michigan, with hills and thick forests.
True North Golf Club's facilities include a driving range and short game greens and full clubhouse with a restaurant. On-site lodging is limited, but golf packages through the nearby Odawa Casino and Resort are available. Boyne Highlands' four golf courses and resort are also just 15 minutes away by car.
