TPC Las Vegas
About
TPC Las Vegas (formerly known as The Tournament Players Club at The Canyons) is Vegas' premier PGA Tour facility, making it a popular destination for professional players and casual golfers alike. The golf course enjoys a scenic backdrop provided by Red Rock Canyon, with views stretching past the surrounding mountains to the Las Vegas skyline. Lush greens contrast the rugged desert landscape of arroyos and barrancas. This challenging layout will test the shot-making skills of even the most seasoned players. The deceptively sloped greens can be difficult but the fairways are somewhat wide and give a little room for error. The back nine presents a particularly formidable test. It is difficult to pick out a signature hole, but the par-4 13th, nicknamed "Death Valley" is memorable for being one of the best risk-reward opportunities on the golf course.

Great course and wonderful staff!
This was my first time playing TPC Vegas. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Course was in amazing shape and we had a great day! I look forward to the next time.
Over priced
Pretty disappointed. This was our first time playing a TPC course and found it a bit of a let down. At $200 a person, we expected the greens to be in better shape and there to be sand in the bunkers. This is a $70 course. Save your $$$.
It has fun layout
We play of 8 early morning. Green is perfect but no one told us the fairway were punched
Very expensive compared to others in the area. Good value if found on a hot deal.
Highly recommend
1st time playing a TPC course and was not at all disappointed. From the driving range to the well kept course. Great time and good pace of play. I will play again next time I am in Vegas
WORST VALUE
worst value i’ve ever played. should be $60 round. greens are in terrible shape, rough is basically rock. 2 really pretty holes that’s about it. they use the TPC name to charge outrageous amounts. BTW, the practice area isn’t all it’s cracked up to be either.
Review
Speedy, but expected. I thought charging $50 for a ride along not playing at all was very expensive.
Underwhelmed
Wow, not what we expected from a TPC course.
Where to start?
They moved our time out by 10 minutes to accommodate a bachelor party and then tried to convince us they didn't. I had the Golf Now proof so that was a short conversation. Regardless, we were right behind 4-5 groups and it was painfully slow.
Marshals didn't seem interested in keeping the pace up, and one of them didn't know if a par 3 had a drop area.
Course conditions were ratty at best. Lots of brown grass and the greens were recently aerated/sanded. Even so, greens were hard and wouldn't hold a shot. That's fine if there is a run-up area, but that is not the design of this course. Made approach shots very difficult.
Before you remind me that it is early season golf, we played Paiute the next day and it was green and lush for this time of year. It's not our first time golfing in Vegas in March.
The layout is great, fine track there. Very challenging and has some holes that are visually intimidating. A good test of golf for sure.
We weren't expecting perfection, but this was a very underwhelming experience all the way around. Won't be returning.
Not worth the money
Part of the idea of playing a TPC is to play a kind of PGA Tour sanctioned course. But the day we played the Tips or what they call TPC Tees were closed, some of them with chains. For me, a 7 handicapper, play the blues is just fine. However, my 17 years old son, who is a +3.2, used to the Floridian wet fairways, have to play from 6700 yards in dry and hard pan Nevada was like playing an executive course. Per si, it should not be bad, if we had not paid over $200 for such executive course they call TPX Las Vegas We were said that tees were closed to avoid amateurs to play from the tips and slow the pace of the course. By the way, the pace of play was dreadful, no marshal around. Had to wait on every shot. Close a tee box to improve the pace of play is the tail wagging the dog. At least, play there was good he ego.
The course lay-out is quite simple, no big challenges, not to say, boring. They indicated the green speed was 11.5. I don't know what stimpmeter they used. The greens were way slower than all other course we played in the area, although they were true. In the same week, we played Paiute, Chimera, Cascata and TPC. By far, TPC had the worst condition with bare spots in several landing and chipping areas. The "cherry on top" was the beverage cart girl driving 30 ft away from the tee box, requesting us to move the cart, so she could pass, while I was swinging my driver.
I would have reviewed completely different if this was a $50 muni course. This course does not deserve the TPC in front of its name. Also, you can find much better cost-benefit options in Henderson, NV.
Overpriced and beyond slow.
This was an expensive waste of time. Waste time in the sense of waiting ten minutes for every shot, having six people pairings.
Expensive rip off for a single digit golfer
Not recommendable
In my experience this course is wonderfully challenging and yet because of the course conditions and lack of people actually working on it… a TPC course should merit more attention and thus I would not recommend this specific course to anyone. Should have gotten an apology for the course conditions specially the greens.
Not Up to TPC Standards
Greens were beat up. Fairways were thin. Pace was wait in every tee and green. Not worth $125. Starter did us a favor letting us go out early. But, didn’t need the sarcasm.
PD
Excellent course. Just what you would expect from a TPC golf course. Recommend to anyone.
Tough
Tough course for a high handicap player but enjoyable.
What a day!
Had a 7am tee. Beautiful course and staff was superb!
Played the course on November 15 and was appalled at the condition of the greens. Absolutely horrible and the worst desert greens I have ever
