Sah-Hah-Lee Golf Course and Driving Range in Clackamas, Oregon is a great place to dial in your irons
CLACKAMAS, Ore. -- Sah-Hah-Lee Golf Course and Driving Range, located just outside Portland, is an 18-hole, par-3 executive course that opened in 1991. Located on the banks of the Clackamas River, it has been ranked among the "Top 100 Short Courses" in America.
"It's family friendly, fun, challenging -- but not intimidating," said Steve Lisac, co-owner and general manager at Sah-Hah-Lee who designed the course with his brother, Bill. "It's one of the best learning centers in the area."
With its straightforward layout, Sah-Hah-Lee Golf Course is a great place for novices. But really good golfers can benefit from spending some time at Sah-Hah-Lee.
"One of our taglines is, 'The Perfect Place to Learn the Game,'" Steve Lisac said. "It's awesome for beginners, but at the same time ... really good players should play here once a week to dial in their iron game."
The driving range is covered -- and heated -- so you can keep your game in shape all year round (Sah-Hah-Lee is open every day except Christmas, although business slows down quite a bit in the offseason). There are also three practice putting greens as well as chipping, pitching and bunker areas. And there's even an 18-hole putting course, which includes sand traps.
"It's miniature golf without the windmills," Steve Lisac said.
Other amenities include the Pavillion Events Center, which can host weddings, birthday parties and more.
