The new Ryder Cup Course at Celtic Manor Resort

Big things are expected of the new Ryder Cup Course at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales, which is set to host the 2010 Ryder Cup Matches.

The course was a collaboration between the European PGA, golf course architects and tour pros in order to create a venue catered to the one-of-a-kind event.

While the first 14 holes play primarily on flat lowlands that weave within the valley, the last four holes are elevated among the hills and offer a dramatic finish. In fact, each has a natural, bowled amphitheater that not only offers fine spectator viewing on that given hole, but the remaining stretch as well.

The Ryder Cup course is one of three parkland courses at Celtic Manor and is allowing limited public play leading up to the 2010 event.
