Rio Secco Golf Club near Las Vegas
Rio Secco Golf Club is located just outside of Las Vegas in Henderson and is one of the area's top upscale golf courses.
The course was designed by Rees Jones and is a formidable test, especially from the back tees, playing over 7,200 yards. It's an undulating desert course with six holes overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, six more playing within canyons and the remaining six amid barren desert wash.
The course culminates with back-to-back par 5s, so leave a little gas in the tank for the closing stretch.
It is home to the Butch Harmon Golf School, and Harmon's most famous former pupil, Tiger Woods, has played his share of rounds at Rio Secco. His course record 64 and hole-by-hole score is plastered at the bottom of each scorecard for all to see.
Rio Secco is also very well known for its T-Mates program, which offers beautiful young women as forecaddies to groups.
