Riddell's Bay Golf and Country Club - Warwick, Bermuda

Riddell's Bay Golf and Country Club is the oldest golf course in Bermuda, built at the southern end of the island in Warwick in 1922, before courses here moved up into the hills to give tourists ocean and bay vistas. The result is a flatter course with more up-close-and-personal views - small inlets with moored sailboats, their banners flying and the sun sparkling off the turquoise water.

At a shade under 6,000 yards it's a short course, even for Bermuda, and - let's face it - not all that difficult. It has some short, driveable par 4s, only one par 5 and a pussycat slope rating of 121. But you won't mind as you play through Bermudan flowers, blooming bushes and Australian pine along a peninsula that's only 600 yards wide at its broadest point, providing glimpses of that gorgeous water nearly everywhere you look.
