Ridge course at Predator Ridge Golf Resort in Canada's Okanagan Valley
The Ridge course at Predator Ridge Golf Resort is a brand new design in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. Opened in the summer of 2010, the course was designed by Canadian architect Doug Carrick.
Compared to the original Predator course at Predator Ridge, the Ridge is a bit less penal, with more forgiving fairways and greens. Many of the fairways are bowled, so drives can find their way back to the center. There are also many elevated tee shots, including the par-3 5th hole, which is the most dramatic of them all. The course is also different from the more wide-open, links-inspired Predator course in that many holes play through forest, and there is a lot of natural rock outcroppings near fairways and greens and can even come into play.
Predator Ridge Golf Resort is a 36-hole resort and residential community in Vernon, about 30 minutes from the Okanagan's main airport, Kelowna.
