Painted Desert Golf Club

Only played 6 holes and left because of poor fairway and green condition. The staff was very friendly but the course is in bad shape. I was never told that I could not play the front 9 because of some construction. I was not going to play the back 9 twice given the terrible condition.

I booked on Golf Now and was never informed that the front nine was shut down for repairs. And the back nine was in HORRIBLE condition. I was told at pro shop I can play the back nine twice. They charge full price for that? I like Painted Desert, but what a bunch of KAKA!

With proper maintenance, this course has a lot of potential! Granted it’s triple digits, but a lot of the greens are hit and miss. The Club House/Bar are whatever. You pay for what you get, I had a great time, but I wouldn’t comeback to play on a vacation.

As a guest from out state, I would say not worth the money at all. Municipal type. Good condition 👏

I live 10 minutes from Painted Desert, but I always seem to run into a problem every time I’m there. For the money you would think they might have 2 things more spaces out tee times, and a MARSHAL! Slow play, OVER a 5 hour round when they tell you it’s wide open is unacceptable! How can you have a 5 hour round when there’s under 10 cars in the parking lot?

The course is in great condition. Greens were solid.

Weather was perfect.
Golf score was great.
Fairways were in good shape.
Greens rolled the prior Monday and
Played on Saturday made is a bit bumpy in some places for putts.

Staff was very friendly - everywhere from club house to cart rental and all good and beverage contacts inside and on the course

Played Painted desert for first time. We will ALWAYS play this magnificent course. Beautiful and ideal course layout. The experience was 10/10. Maybe Best golf course I’ve played and I e been everywhere. It was a joy and blast to play this beautiful course. Kudos to management!

Our 9:22 tee time didn't happen until after 11. Yes there was a frost delay, but the handling of getting their Tournament group ahead of everyone wasn't done wisely. With the said delay, they still shotgun started the group & then were slow to put the normal groups out. No offers to compensate for the delay were offered and, if a refund was the course of action a Golfer would want to take, that refund could only be done by the course manager, who of course wasn't there.

Played here yesterday for the second time in 2 years. The staff are VERY FRIENDLY and helpful. The course could definitely use some sort of yardage markers to assist in playing the proper distance. For off season the course was in decent shape. Lots of rock and sand if you just miss the ruff. Playing from the fairway is at a premium to save your golf clubs. Enjoyed our time on the course and the friendly bar staff made getting drinks between nines enjoyable as well. Great people and a decent course!

This course has great greens. Fast and true.

The rest of the playing experience stinks. The fairways with grass are narrow on every hole. If you miss you’re either hitting off soft straw or gravel. There is no rough. It’s stupid. Boring layout and again if you miss the fairway you’re hitting off a surface ive never seen before at a golf course. And they charge insane prices for this. What a joke.
