Painted Desert Golf Club in Las Vegas
Located just north of the Las Vegas Strip, Painted Desert Golf Club is a classic desert golf course opened in 1987. This Jay Morrish design winds through the Painted Desert community and features many ponds, flowers and plants. Mountain vistas abound as well.
The golf course's affordability and location make it a local favorite, not to mention the course conditions and hole variety. There are two very exciting short par 4s here, both drivable to big hitters: No. 7 and No. 14. Water comes into play on both holes, as Painted Desert has more water than the average Vegas-area golf course.
One such hole is the par-3 eighth, Painted Desert's official signature hole, which demands a long carry over water to a very long green. Water guards the left hand side as well.
The golf course plays a modest 6,787 yards from the championship tees.
