Myrtlewood Golf Club's Palmetto is an average golf course with a fantastic finish. The 15th and 16th both wrap around a large pond, while the par-3 17th plays from an elevated tee over a tributary to the Intracoastal Waterway. The par-4 18th plays tight along the waterway to the left, with large boats regularly passing by.
Myrtlewood's two tracks are among the most popular on the Grand Strand thanks to their central location, moderate price, good conditions and ease of play. The Palmetto's slope rating is just 121, and while it's longer than sister course PineHills, it's more wide open and threatens less trouble around the greens.
