LAUGHLIN, Nev. -- Mojave Resort Golf Club is one of the Laughlin area's most popular courses since it manages to be challenging yet playable for all skill levels.
The course offers desert golf at its finest, though there are some holes that are framed by trees to add some variety. The creatively fingered bunkers are strategically placed along the undulating greens, which have subtle breaks that make them more challenging than they seem.
Although accuracy, thoughtful strategy, and creative shot making will be generously rewarded, the course is quite forgiving. It's a great layout for high handicappers and beginners to get the hang of the game, but the back tees make it a fun and challenging round for more advanced players.
The final two holes are the toughest on the golf course. Mojave Resort Golf Club's par-3 17th plays over a lake and the finishing hole features water as well. It's a narrow par 4 where golfers will have to carry the lake on the right side of the fairway on their approach to the green.
