Maui offers more than a dozen worthy golf courses to sample, as well as plenty of beaches and off-course activities, making it one of the world's favorite island destinations.
For golf, headliners include three-course Wailea Golf Club, PGA Tour host Kapalua Resort and multi-resort Ka'anapali on the island's west side near Lahaina. The island, while small enough to explore on one visit, is very different throughout. Mount Haleakala anchors the east side, a 10,000-foot-high dormant volcano that many tourists will head up and watch the sunrise from the peak (some choose to bike down as well).
South Maui sits below Haleakala at its southern base and is home to bustling Kihei, where many restaurants and vacation condo rentals as well as golf courses such as Wailea and Makena.
To the west, the West Maui Mountain range dominates the landscape, and courses such as King Kamehameha Golf Club and Kahili Golf Course sit in their foothills.
Maui is all too scenic at every turn, whether you're on the beach or teeing it up on one of the island's golf courses. Here are some of Brandon Tucker's favorite shots on the golf course and off during his recent Maui golf trip.
