Lionhead Golf and Country Club near Toronto
Located just west of Toronto in Brampton, Lionhead Golf and Country Club is Kaneff Golf's most upscale of the six properties in Ontario. The golf club features two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by Ted Baker in 1989.
Lionhead Golf and Country Club is set on 520 acres of rolling terrain and natural, environmentally protected wetlands. The club is known for its Legends Course, rated as Canada's most difficult at 75.5/155. The Masters Course is slightly easier, especially for the mid- and high-handicapper, because there are no long carries over the Credit River, which on the Legends can demand carries of over 80 yards.
The club receives a lot of corporate play, many of which will opt for the easier Masters Course. Facilities at Lionhead Golf and Country Club include a full-service clubhouse and pro shop as well as a driving range and practice facility. From Toronto's city center, it's about 40 kilometers or about a 30-45 minute drive depending on traffic.
