The site of Legend Oaks Golf Club used to be a rice plantation, but now the Charleston-area golf course winds through a neighborhood. There are quite a homes along the perimeter. The back nine is more pastoral and isolated, though they are rapidly adding homes here too.

Still, this is an enjoyable price at a good course - $29-$55, depending on time and season, with discounts for juniors and seniors. It's a traditional design (by Pete Dye protege Scott W. Pool) in a parkland setting, with water in play on half the holes and medium-sized greens with decent undulation.
