Kauai Lagoons Golf Club in Hawaii

Kauai Lagoons Golf Club was originally home to two 18-hole championship courses, the Kiele and Mokihana, both designed by Jack Nicklaus. The club is currently undergoing a face lift as part of the new Ritz-Carlton expansion of the Kauai Marriott Resort & Beach Club.

Currently, the back nine of the Kiele and front nine of Mokihana are closed. The Kiele is under renovation and is expected to reopen sometime in early 2009, while the fate of the Mokihana front nine is yet to be decided.

Until early 2009, the golf club comprises the existing nines of each course. And while the club's most famous nine, Kiele's back, remains closed, the club still offers a solid resort round on Kauai. Kiele's front side is highlighted by two very picturesque and dramatic par 3s.

Kauai Lagoons is conveniently located in Kauai's largest city, Lihue, and is just minutes from the airport.
