Heather Glen Golf Links north of Myrtle Beach
Heather Glen Golf Links is the flagship of the four Myrtle Beach-area golf courses in the Glen's Golf Group, which also consists of Glen Dornoch across the street, Shaftesbury Glen and Possum Trot.
Each of the golf courses are Scottish themed, perhaps none more so than Heather Glen. Architect Clyde Johnston built menacing, deep pot bunkers that can sometimes even be hidden from the fairway. There are railroad ties and mounded fairways. The clubhouse is also filled with traditional leather couches and plaid wallpaper filled with classic, Scottish artwork.
There are 27 holes at Heather Glen that, depending on the combination, play between 6,700 and 6,800 yards.
