Gozzer Ranch Golf and Lake Club in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- Gozzer Ranch Golf and Lake Club is a new high-end private residential community and club on Lake Coeur d'Alene in northern Idaho. The property sits on 700 acres, and the centerpiece is the Tom Fazio-designed 18-hole golf course that weaves through the property and above the lake. The club is operated by Discovery Land Company, which specializes in private club and residential communities with an array of activities beyond golf.
Activities at Lake Coeur d'Alene include boating, fishing and even wakeboarding. It's an especially family friendly club with such amenities as a paintball field and a converted red barn that features a game room, pottery room and movie room.
The Gozzer Ranch golf course has five sets of tees and plays to a maximum of 7,317 yards, and it features firm, fast playing conditions. There are numerous standout holes, including two drivable par 4s (one on each side) and spectacular par 3s, starting with the third hole. The golf course was voted the best new private course of 2008 by Golf Digest.
