Fontana Golf Club near Vienna, Austria
Located just a short drive from the center of Vienna, Austria, Fontana Golf Club offers a challenging round with scenery that feels as though it is much farther from the city. The layout features plenty of water hazards throughout in addition to a heavy smattering of deep bunkers along the fairways and greensides. The greens are generally small and undulating, and there is the occasional two-tiered green to watch out for.
The golf course saves the most challenging holes for last with the final three holes. The signature 17th hole is part of this treacherous trio. This par-3 requires a challenging carry over water, but there is more trouble in front of the green than behind it. The beautifully designed clubhouse at Fontana Golf Club also offers a swimming lake, fitness center, spa, and highly rated restaurant.
