Dye Fore Course at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic is a nice complement to the Teeth of the Dog
LA ROMANA, Dominican Republic -- With another nine holes integrated into the old Dye Fore North Nine, Casa de Campo has a formidable lineup of golf courses. The 7,000-acre, all-inclusive resort not only has Pete Dye's famed Teeth of the Dog Course, but also two more courses, including the now reconfigured Dye Fore Course.
Dye Fore has nine brand new holes that tie everything together better. Built around the Chavon River, which sits some 300 feet below the edges of many of the holes, the new-look Dye Fore Course now stretches to more than 7,600 yards, making it a formidable challenge to the very best players.
The new holes start with the fifth, adding several difficult par 3s and par 5s, forcing players to hit long, accurate shots and miss the greens in the right spots to be successful. On top of that, you can count on Dye's creative bunkering as well as the use of lakes and ponds to make things difficult.
