Cape Fear National golf course at Brunswick Forest near Wilmington, North Carolina

LELAND, N.C. - Cape Fear National is now open but the golf course's official debut will be in spring of 2010. Located just 45 minutes from Myrtle Beach, it is a golf course worthy of a drive north.

Designed by Tim Cate, the course amid the huge development Brunswick Forest features a links-like feel, excellent service, wicked fast greens and that new-course feel. Everything is bright and shiny.

Cape Fear National is versatile, with five tee stations and six pin position possibilities. Sand and water will be your foes for the round, including some marsh carries and massive waste bunkers. Despite the fact the golf course was carved out of forest, trees don't play much of a role here.

Cape Fear National at Brunswick Forest is a fair, straight-forward golf course that will keep you on your toes. Come on out and take it for a test drive.
