In a city known for its replica casino and resort properties, one of Las Vegas' best tributes isn't on the strip but seven miles west at Bear's Best Las Vegas.
Bear's Best takes 18 of Jack Nicklaus' best holes from his golf courses all over the world, from Old Works Golf Club to former PGA Tour stop Castle Pines Golf Club in Colorado. Both the first and last holes come from his Private and Resort Courses at The Club at PGA West and feature large water hazards.
The property here in Summerlin is a stunning one, set in the foothills of the Red Rock Mountains, while also providing several holes playing straight downhill towards the Strip in the distance. Two holes here even imported sand from Nicklaus' Old Works in Montana, adding to the golf course's authenticity.
Bear's Best also has a reputation for some of Las Vegas' best course conditions, featuring firm and fast bentgrass greens.
There is a second replica course, Bear's Best Atlanta, which opened in suburban Atlanta a year after the Las Vegas one and features 18 different holes.
