NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Barefoot Resort & Golf boasts four championship courses respectively designed by Greg Norman, Davis Love III, Tom Fazio, and Pete Dye. All four have been ranked in the top 50 golf courses in Myrtle Beach, making it one of the area's most popular golfing destinations.
Barefoot's Greg Norman Course is known for its seven holes that are situated along the Intracoastal Waterway. The greens are open and the fairways run up to the sand, providing an interesting variety of challenges. Norman incorporated a "bump-and-run" philosophy when designing the greens. Expansive natural waste areas frame the holes as well as native vegetation. The rough areas blend seamlessly with the landscape of each hole. You won't find any angular or artificial lines on this course.
One of the most distinctive features besides the stunning water holes is the bunkering. The bunkers have sloping white faces and there are also sod wall bunker strategically laced throughout. In addition to the four courses, there is a 30-acre driving range available.
