Barefoot Resort Love golf course - North Myrtle Beach

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH - The driver is king at Barefoot Resort's Love Course. The fairways are huge on this acclaimed design by PGA Tour star Davis Love III, and golfers are encouraged to bomb and bomb again.

The difficulty comes in the approaches to the golf course's greens. This is the most player-friendly of the four big-name Barefoot resort designs, but Love and his design partner/brother Mark throw a number of doglegs at golfers. Risk-reward holes come thick and fast - more than a dozen have more than one clear way to play, and there always seems to be a more direct, more dangerous path to the green.

Barefoot Love takes advantage of the surrounding Carolina Lowcountry scenery, and the re-created ruins of a plantation house give the course a distinct look.
