Bandon Trails at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon
Bandon Trails is the third and newest golf course to come to the acclaimed Bandon Dunes Golf Resort on Oregon's Pacific Coast. While the course plays farther inland than Bandon Dunes and Pacific Dunes, it features the same fescue fairways and massive, firm greens, though it is generally more shielded from the elements, thanks to the tall pines lining most holes.
It's also home to the highest point on the property, the par-4 14th hole, which offers a panoramic view of the ocean and plays downhill toward a green that is drivable for big hitters at just over 300 yards.
The course opened in 2005 and was designed by the Bob Coore and Ben Crenshaw team. Green fees are the same here as at the other two courses, $210-265. A fourth course is currently under construction at Bandon Dunes and slated to open in 2010.
