2009 Turning Stone Resort Championship

This past weekend Matt Kuchar won the 2009 Turning Stone Resort Championship in a sudden-death playoff. The Atunyote Golf Club at Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y. hosted the event where Kuchar beat Vaughn Taylor on the sixth playoff hole.

Taylor and Kuchar were tied for the lead after 72 holes at 17-under 271 and the pair remained deadlocked even after two playoff holes on Sunday. They both birdied the first extra hole and made par on the second before play was suspended for the day due to darkness. Monday, on the sixth extra hole, Taylor double-bogeyed while Kuchar made par to sink the win.

Tim Petrovic and Leif Olson tied for third with 16-under 272. Jimmy Walker and John Senden scored a 15-under 273, putting them in a tie for fifth.
