The New Jersey Section of the PGA of America (NJPGA) today announced its 2015 annual award recipients, led by David Reasoner, PGA Head Professional at The Ridgewood Country Club, who was recognized as the 2015 NJPGA Golf Professional of the Year, as well as the Merchandiser of the Year for private facilities. read more

Jordan Spieth, 22, followed Tiger Woods as the second-youngest to capture both awards in the same year. Woods was 21 in 1997 when he won the first of his 11 PGA Player of the Year Awards and nine Vardon Trophies. read more

Scott Watson, a 43-year-old student at Rutgers University, where he is pursuing a turfgrass management degree, has earned the top prize of $6,000 among 16 awards in the 2015 Scholars Competition offered through the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). read more

Golf Channel will announce the 2015 Payne Stewart Award recipient during its Morning Drive program (7-10 a.m. ET). The award - which is presented annually by the PGA TOUR and Southern Company -- recognizes an individual in the game who embodies charity, character and sportsmanship, mirroring the way that the late Stewart lived his life. read more

PGA Professional Tom Henderson of Round Hill Club in Greenwich, Conn., has been named the 62nd recipient of the PGA Golf Professional of the Year Award. PGA Professional Cameron McCormick of Brook Hollow Golf Club in Dallas was named the PGA Teacher of the Year Award recipient. read more
