Forget her golf – she almost has – Michelle Wie needs to stop acting like a spoiled brat and tell Annika Sorenstam she's sorry for acting like a, well...spoiled brat.
It's a familiar story by now. Wie, facing the "88" rule, pulls out of the Ginn Tribute, hosted by Sorenstam, who gave Wie a special invitation. Wie cites a wrist injury, but leaves skid marks on her way out of the tournament, only to be seen practicing a couple days later.
Sorenstam rightfully cited a lack of "class" on Wie's part.
Wie arrogantly said she had nothing to apologize for. What is this? Love. Only love means never having to say you're sorry. This was a rude gesture that demands an apology.
At the U.S. Women's Open, Sorenstam acknowledged she has still not heard from Wie. Wie said, gosh, she really hasn't even seen Sorenstam.
Hint: Hey Michelle, look in the LOCKER ROOM.
Or maybe on the PRACTICE RANGE.
Wie and her entourage continue to be the most self-centered, self-serving, arrogant, overbearing figures in women's golf, maybe in all of sports.
Her mother needs to smack her one, but I guess even mothers are scared to smack $50 million teenagers these days.
