WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The ADT Championship proudly announces the appointment of Robin Bernstein of Palm Beach, as chair of Championship Host Committee for this year’s LPGA season ending Championship. Bernstein has been involved with the ADT Championship since the LPGA event moved to Palm Beach County in 2000.
“Over the last seven years, I have seen the ADT Championship grow to be a county wide event,” said Bernstein, who is President of Richard S. Bernstein and Associates, Inc. “The events surrounding the Championship have expanded to include locations from Jupiter all the way down to Boca Raton, and these events now are happening all year round, not just the week of the tournament.”
Bernstein was recently a recipient of the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches’ Leadership Award in the Private Sector. She adds her newest accolade to her list of awards which include the Commission on the Status of Women’s Achievement Award for Outstanding Contributions and Leadership in the Field of Government and Politics, a Congressional Award, and the 2006 Pinnacle Award from the Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
“Even though this Championship has grown, my goal this year as Chair is to expand our reach and engage more communities from Martin County all the way down to Dade County through ancillary events,” said Bernstein. “The ADT Championship Host Committee is working hard to make this event one not to be missed.”
Joining Bernstein on the ADT Championship Host Committee is Clarence Anthony, Mayor of South Bay; Richard S. Bernstein, Richard S. The ADT Championship will also feature three days of playoffs with a cut after the 36 holes. Players start with a fresh scorecard for the third round, which ends with another cut to the top eight players.
